KNIFE GATE VALVE MANUAL

1.INSTRALLATION:

1).Before the installation,please check whether there are impurities at the gate and pipeline or not. If any,eliminate them.
2).Check the valve model,connecting dimensions and flow direction.
3).Make sure there is enough room for valve(full open) and install it. Do not forget to put flange seal gaskets between valve and pipe.

2.MAINTENACE:

1).The valve must be regularly nursed. It can't be collided or extruded randomly preventing from affecting sealing.
2).Lubricate the gate and stem with lubrication and engine oil before opening the valve so as to ensure an easy fail and rise.
3).If it is too tight to open,adjust the bolts on the gland. The adjustment shall be acceptable when there is no water leakage.

3.MAINTAINING:

1).Dismantle the valve from the pipe. Find out what's the problem with the valve.
2).If there is any jam,clear it.
3).If there is any leakage, replace the seal/packing.
4).Test the valve after repair and install it back to pipe.
